Day 6 - Exmoor to Bridgewater

A good day today and another 34 miles. Started on Exmoor and headed over to Dunkery Beacon. Dreich moorland conditions and felt very at home (like John Buchan Way). Descended through woodland to Dunster with beautiful village & castle. Along to Minehaed on coast before a climb up & along Quantock hills.

The Achillies (taped up for support) felt ok and made good progress. Really enjoyed the first 28 miles, although the final 6 on the road into Bridgewater a bit of a slog. Was first home so able to get first massage & a shower at finish - more recovery ahead of tomorrow....

Tomorrow is the longest day of the trip (40 miles) at the end of what is the hardest week of the trip. Looking forward to getting to Bristol & a rest day, just need to bang out those 40 miles and 1,000m of climbing first!

Greg excited to be in the front or is he after a lift?

James doing the morning brief. For context it is 7:30am, after an hour's drive and 20 runners & crew have had breakfast, cleared the self-catering accommodation, done morning medical surgery plus physio taping and collecting recharged trackers. James leads a very efficient logistical support machine.
