Day 3 - Padstow to Bude(ish)

Another cracking day. 32 miles today so now 102 on the score board. 10%😎

Ran initially with David & Jamie again and was briefly delighted to be joined by Sarah. "Delighted" because an hour earlier she had been unwell & looking like she might not be able to run today & "briefly" because she had only been running with us for 10 minutes before declaring in her Aussie drawl "You make a great wind block Martin". She got some feedback on her chat up lines. 😉

After yesterday's cliff top running I felt I was on limit of what I could handle from vertigo perspective so agreed an alternative route for checkpoint 1 to 2 via a less precarious route and waiting at checkpoint 2 for my buddies.

Chance to chat to the support crew. Kevin our medic & Lauren our physio have been doing an amazing job for the team with clinics at 6am, at checkpoints & after the runs.

The physio/massage photos started as a bit of a joke, after Loren said no one believes from her photos that she's actually working, so we are endeavouring to capture that over the week. Joke aside,  getting a massage shortly after finishing really helps the quick recovery.

A slightly shorter 28 mile day tomorrow on simpler terrain. Or as James the RD described it "Some active recovery" 😉

30% just what you want after 50k

The River Estuary at Padstow. We weren't falling for that "underwater bridge thing again".
