Having spent last night in the youth hostel in Kendal we started the day with a ride down to Lancaster before running back.
Our run in to Lancaster last night had coincided with the Lancaster Marathon and some of us did overtake a few of the tailenders, but by this morning all marathon evidence was gone.
Today's run was mixed, with time split fairly evenly between canal towpath, quiet roads & some coastal trail, alongside Morecambe Bay.
I mainly ran on my own today, but enjoyed a good chat with a guy cycling from JOG to LE on a wacky bike.
Today's route was just 25 miles which made for a short day & the opportunity to do some shopping in Kendal & get a mid-run haircut.
The scoreboard now makes very pleasant reading: officially 515 miles done and 515 to go. We have reached halfway in this crazy adventure.✅😎

Run along the coast at Morecambe Bay
Signs near Kendal Castle - Annie Rawlinson's fingerprints all over it?🤔 (Annie did RunBrit last year & lives near Kendal)
Lovely bench just north of Carnforth
Enjoyed chatting to this guy, who is cycling on his oversized bike from John O' Groats to Land's End.
