Day 16 - Whittle Le Woods to Lancaster

At the start of today I wasn't feeling too good: full of cold, blister on sole of right foot & saying goodbye to Helen for next 3 weeks, so was feeling a bit sorry for myself.

However once I got going I felt much better and the morning rolled on by. At lunch I was joined by Heather & Bill complete with a very impressive sign. The sign was to reappear 2 miles later on, attached to the side of Garstang tennis courts. H&B easily become best supporters of the trip so far.

In all it was another 35 miles today as we passed through Preston, Catterall, Garstang, Scorton & Galgate, finishing in Lancaster.

We're staying in Kendal Youth Hostel tonight and will be running from Lancaster to Kendal tomorrow. Thankfully, we now have 4 days on the trot which are only about marathon distance, which will feel a little easier than the 35 miles which we have averaged on the trip to date.

Perhaps a bit of a chance to recover a little, with some earlier finishes.😎
