T minus 1 - The Calm Before The Storm

Very much a final morning of tranquility before 5 weeks of communal living.

With registration not until 3pm, the morning was spent enjoying the full breakfast experience, doing final prep including loading GPX navigation files for week 1, to both my phone and watch, doing a final session of hypnotherapy routines plus making sure all my electrical bits & bobs were fully charged.
Then went for a bit of a walk down to the beach at Hayle to see where the River Hayle meets the sea. This being of particular interest tomorrow as we need to "ford" it or incur a few bonus miles! A spot of lunch down by the harbour then back to the hotel for registration.

Registration was a 4 step process:
- Checking admin (next of kin etc🙄)
- Medical chat with the doc
- Collect tracker, bib and t-shirt
- Photos

It looks like there will be 22 of us on the start line. The lassies outnumber the lads which is a very positive reflection on the strength of the female ultra running scene - or can women just handle pain better???🤔

Then briefing and first meal together as a group.

It's a 5am breakfast in the morning before departing at 6am for Land's End. We start running at 7am. 🏃🇬🇧
