Day 28 - Fort William to Fort Augustus

After the hills of yesterday it was nice to have a flatter day in the Great Glen.

The route largely followed the Caledonian Canal and loch-side paths & roads for 32 miles.

After leaving Fort William I ran on my own. Trails were good and very runable so it was nice to get the day done early, particularly as it became increasingly damp

Highlights included meeting Yogi, seeing Invergarry (honeymoon destination back in 1990) and having a chat with a lock keeper operating his electric lock (which kept breaking apparently).

Another day done and week 4 complete. A welcome final rest day tomorrow. I'll check the scoreboard properly tomorrow but think total distance run now stands at about 820 miles. 6 running days to go.

A very damp Annie Rawlinson after a day of crewing in the rain. Happy milkshake time.
